TAME - Airline of Ecuador - Galapagos Airlines
TAME, the Airline of Ecuador, is a passenger and cargo transport company that was created 43 years ago in Ecuador, on December 17, 1962.
It entered the field of commercial aviation as a project of the Ecuadorian Air Force to integrate the most remote cities in the country and thereby promote communication, commerce, tourism, economic, cultural and social development.
In 1992 TAME signed a border integration agreement and started operating four weekly flights to the city of Cali, in Colombia from Tulcán and Esmeraldas.
The professionalism of the crews and the quality of the technicians that work in the company have been a decisive factor in building customer trust and that of important airlines in the aviation world.
It is also important to highlight the work that TAME carries out on the maintenance of its aircraft.
The maintenance personnel are highly qualified and have specializations in areas such as computer science, traffic, sales, commerce and finance.
The current administration, has prioritized the renovation of the fleet with more modern aircraft and the formation of alliances with other airlines in order to broaden international coverage.
TAME transports approximately 3000 passengers daily on national and international routes. The incorporation of modern aircraft with larger capacities will enable the company to increase the number of passengers and consolidate the prestige of TAME in the international commercial aviation market.
Despite being State owned, TAME is administratively and financially autonomous. AS such it receives no government contributions and its own revenue sustains its growth.
This has led to TAME's position as a financially solid company, whose assets are made up of the fleet of aircraft, the aeronautical infrastructure, offices and points of sale within the Ecuadorian territory.
