To ensure your perfect Galápagos experience, you should consider several aspects before booking. On this page we would like to assist you choosing your adequate accommodation.
Hotel or cruise?
 |
Hotel:
You might want to consider staying in a hotel if you are susceptible to seasickness. The rolling of the ship at night could be a problem and with no sleep you will not enjoy the beauty of Galápagos. You also get the chance to explore the islands more in-depth. It is possible to visit an island a second time if you really enjoyed being there or did not get to see the animal you wanted to. You are very flexible and can decide each day which day-trip you would like to do. In addition a hotel is recommended if you need access to phone/internet/fax for 24 hours a day.

Cruise:
A cruise on the contrary will offer you a carefully selected itinerary. You will see the most possible in the time you spend on the archipelago and visit several different islands. It is the best way to get a view of the splendid biological and marine diversity of Galápagos. You will visit islands that cannot be reached in a daytrip from the hotels.

Both, our hotels as well as our yachts and cruise ships, were handpicked and guarantee a top standard in comfort, safety, space and quality. The guides on board of the ships are naturalist guides (ll and lll) that speak English fluently.
Small versus large?
 |
Small yachts:
The main advantage of the small yachts is the smaller number of passengers. This guarantees a more personal atmosphere and you get to know you fellow passengers faster. The crew can give you their best attention.
On shore the groups are manageable and on that account there are no crowds, so you can experience the flora and fauna more intensely.
Furthermore the itinerary is more flexible and small yachts have a greater choice of visitor sites where they can anchor. So you can also admire the nature of visitor sites that are less frequented with tourists.
If you are interested the small sailing yachts also offer the possibility of getting to know something about sailing and muck in yourself.

Large cruise ships:
The biggest advantage of the large cruise ships is certainly their high speed. This enables you to see more visitor sites in less time. Besides they possess a great stability in the water and seesaw less. That is why they are more suited for people who tend to get seasick.
The cruise ships are very spacious because they were usually built for more passengers as they are allowed to carry now, due to national park regulations. This signifies that next to ample cabins, that guarantee a lot of privacy, the lounges are commodious.
Another advantage is the immense sport- and entertainment program. The cruise ships feature a swimming pool as well as a shopping possibility. In the evening life entertainment is provided.
Usually they also offer a medical station or a doctor who takes care of all passengers that require medical treatment.
